About Cornwall Switch
What is Cornwall Switch?
We’re a campaign that’s bringing together individuals and groups
all over Cornwall to do something simple but positive about climate change. What we have in common is
the belief that ordinary people can make a difference – by acting
together we can help prevent a disaster that’s threatening to overwhelm
the world. You can find out more about who's supporting Cornwall Switch here.
To join us, there’s no need to fill in an application form – just switch to a green electricity tariff and tell your friends about how easy it is to opt for a better future.
Spreading the word
Our goal is to persuade a large proportion of Cornish households to switch. Whether we can achieve this will depend on you – and others
like you – spreading the word. Our word
of mouth page has some ideas on how to do this. Maybe you’ve
got even better ones of your own, or belong to a local organisation that
might
like to take part in the campaign. If so, please contact
us – we’d love to hear from you!
Raising money for good causes
Cornwall Switch is a non-profit campaign,
but by partnering with the switching service Energylinx, we’ll be
raising £10 for each person who
switches. Some of this money will be used to cover campaign costs. The rest will be donated
to three good causes: Oxfam, WaterAid, and the Cornwall Community Renewables
Fund. Find out more about these charities and how we’re helping
them
here.
No one working on the Cornwall Switch campaign is being paid or receiving any financial benefits from their involvement with the project.
