Cornwall Green Communities Fund
Cornwall Switch plans toset up a special fund to help people in Cornwall who want to develop small-scale sustainable energy projects to benefit their local communities.
Such projects might include solar panels to generate electricity for village halls, geothermal heating systems for schools, or wind turbines to provide power and raise income for local community facilities. People can also apply for help with projects designed to conserve energy, such as insulating community buildings.
The kind of help the fund might be able to give includes (for example) grants towards equipment or installation costs, or to pay for feasibility studies.
We’d like the projects we sponsor to be used to educate Cornwall’s children about renewable energy. After all, they’ll be responsible for tidying up the mess we leave behind!
The more people who switch to green electricity, the more money we’ll be able to pass on to the Fund and the two other charitable causes we support.
