Juice

juice logoSince 2001, Juice has been supplying green energy to households all over the UK. In setting up the Juice tariff, npower worked closely with the environmental campaigning organisation Greenpeace. Juice costs exactly the same as npower’s standard energy tariff, with no extra charge for those who wish to use renewable energy as a practical way of tackling global warming.

The energy Juice uses to supply its customers is generated at the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm, a few miles off the North Wales coast. For every unit of electricity that you use, npower buys a unit from North Hoyle to be fed into the National Grid.

npower and Greenpeace have created a fund to assist the development of renewable energy projects. For every customer that stays with Juice, npower will make an annual contribution of £10 to this fund. The money is invested in research and development into renewable energy sources such as wave and wind power.
